Preparing Your Child For Preschool
+ I've put together a few tips and tricks to help make your child's transition smoother.
Morning Arrival Routine: It's expected that your child will be nervous and tearful on their first day. This is a developmentally normal showing their big emotions. We recommend making a solid goodby routine that you can follow each day so your child knows what to expect. Children quickly get engaged with an activity and friends and this is short lived as long as parents don't linger too long and make the drop-off brief and upbeat. Preschool Schedule: 7:30 am - Arrival / Hand Washing / Table Top Activities / Snack / Potty 8:30 am - Nature Walk / Gather Circle / Guided Learning 11:00 am - Potty / Music & Movement / Lunch / Potty / Story time / Rest 2:30 pm - Potty / Snack / Tabletop Activities 3:15 pm - Outdoor Free play / Depart 7:30 am - Arrival + Outdoor Centers 8:30 am - Gather Circle, Snack, Nature Walk + Guided Learning 11:00 am - Creative Art Project, Lunch, Story time + Rest 2:30 pm - Snack, Outdoor Free play, Music & Movement Games 4:30 pm - Depart |
